The droids and the shogunate are taking a breath. The fleet of primitive Space Troglodytes was narrowly defeated in the skies of Kronos. The Alliance colonies, as well as the headquarters of the Galactic Capital, are safe. Having considered that the war is not lost but is also far from being won, the Droids launch an unfortunate colonial adventure on the alien planet Deneb, finding in its defenders a great challenge. The indigenous people of the planet, in fact, manage to prepare a decidedly tenacious defense: the fleet almost destroys the landing ships of the Droids. Furthermore, once on the ground, the militia proove to be dearly, making the conquest of the planet a real via crucis for the colonial force. At the end of this slaughter, the soldier droids still manage to establish a federal government on this plan

This is fueled by riches from the Galactic Capital, a deep space planet that is actually easy to reach via a wormhole. The Capital is the center of control over this Sector, and is governed by the two peoples mentioned above. The presence of aliens in deep space is known, but it is not the subject of real considerations. Shoguns and Droids have no interest in expanding their empires. Suddenly, however, an alarm spreads: two external peoples are initiating large-scale military operations. While the Intrigons of the Lattemiele Empire also dedicated to some bizarre expansion projects, which would become clearer in a few years, the Olds finished colonizing the planets of their native system, starting to gear up, for the third time, for a deep space exploration. In the other half of the galaxy things were different. The Communists of the Prophecy had already finished exploring and dominating their system, and were therefore starting to think big. Two peoples from distant solar systems, united by one thing: the interest in making their planet the capital of a stellar empire. Although separated from the pitfalls of deep space, it was clear from the outset that only one of the two could reign over this sector of the galaxy. Peace was never going to be an option. The initial phase of the game saw a very rapid expansion by the Raiders, who quickly produced large numbers of colonizing ships, sending them around their sector to take control of the planets. The Reds, on the other hand, opted for a more cautious approach, dealing primarily with the collection of minerals, colonizing the planets more slowly, and developing military technologies early on.
